We had our AOS interview this week in Detroit and it was a good experience. We had to wait nearly an hour for our name to be called but had a very nice gentleman ask us the following:

Asked my husband:

1. His mother and father's first name.

2. Showed a copy of his signature and to verify if it was really his

3. the usual crime/terrorist questions

Asked me:

1. For a copy of a joint bank statement.

2. Copy of last 4 pay stubs

A few pointers about Detroit:

1. They have a free parking lot. Nice!

2. The AOS interview building is just down the street from Chene park, where you have to do biometrics.

3. Remember to place your interview letter in the bin! No one told us to do that and it wasn't until my husband saw someone else do it that I realized we should have to (not that it holds back your interview time thankfully!).

4. If you get there super early, they won't let you into the waiting room unless there are a lot of open chairs. Don't bother arriving more than 30 minutes before your interview.

5. There is a Wendy's and McDonald's just a few miles down! So go enjoy a cup of coffee and relax!!

Oct. 22/08... U.S. Passport received

Apr. 6/05... DS-230, Part I faxed to Vancouver Consulate

May 26/05... K-2 Interview - APPROVED!!!!

Sept. 5/05... Entered U.S.

Sept. 7/05... I-485 & I-131 sent to CLB

Feb. 22/06... AOS Interview - APPROVED!!!!! (Passport NOT stamped)

Dec. 4/07... I-751 sent to NSC

May 23/08... 10-Yr. PR Card arrives in the mail

Mar. 22/11.... N-400 sent to AZ

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

July 12/11..... Oath Ceremony
