I am getting conflicting info. This morning I received the following email from CRIS...

On August 2, 2006, we responded to your request for more information concerning your case. If you have not received our response within 30 days from this date, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

I had also inquired about my case directly via the CSC email address and got this back...

The California Service Center (CSC) does not accept inquiries from the general public via email. All inquiries must be submitted to the National Customer Service Center by calling 1-800-375-5283. The National Customer Service Center will route your inquiry to the appropriate USCIS District Office or Service Center, and will track your inquiry to a final resolution. If you've received a transfer notice regarding your case, please inform the National Customer Service Center at the time you submit your inquiry. The National Customer Service is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, PST.

I have never seen this before...How did they respond to my request??? What request are they referring to? My email?

Is it possible someone messed up and I was supposed to be approved? It is clearly not an RFE.

Can someone shed some light here????

I think you asked kind of the same question earlier today on this thread and some other one?

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=25047

Don't worry too much. Since they won't answer your questions and you can't call them or anything, try to relax a bit. You'll get something in the mail soon, I think. :)

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

I"ve never received anything like this, but given the second email, it does seem the two could be connected. They said they responded to your request, and then you got their response!

I am thinking this is completely unrelated to an NOA2 though (sorry) and they are both just standard responses to your email request for info. I am guessing, of course, but at least it doesn't look like anything to slow things down for you or worry about.

I'm sorry, but I think there's no such thing as an expert on weird messages from CSC. One can only *guess* what they mean.

PS - It appears Mr. Lonely got a similar email when he sent in a request. And lots of touches.

As mew said there is no expert on CSC answers.

One thing to remember though, the centers have canned responses that they send out. Someone picks which ever one fits their mood and responds to your email.

Like you were told earlier sincerly doubt this is in connection to NOA2 in anyway shape or form.

Your NOA1 date is in June. Cool your jets and relax, the way CSC works you will get your approval either tomorrow or sometime between then and Christmas.

June 05 Lisa and I fall in love

I appreciate your style, dwar. You crack me up. I appreciate your sarcasm and your deployment of it in the face of this wretched process.

March 9 - filed I-129F to Nebraska

March 15 - NOA#1

June 1 - transferred to CSC

July 11 - IMBRA RFE back with CSC

If I could possibly shed some light on this mystery, I shall try......I sent two different and separate messages to the CSC..........the first was by email which I received the address from tim......he said that he received an actual reply from a real person via the email........I on the other hand received the message that the CSC does not reply to email inquiries.........on the other hand......

When I sent a certified. next day delivery with a return receipt letter to the Director of CEC ( I doubt she actually read the letter? but anyway.......the very next day after they received my letter........I received the standard touch via email that they will review my case.

To me, this could be important......I was afraid that my file was misplaced. Still am not 100% sure......but at least I was recognized by someone at the CSC if they took the time to send to me a reply message.....I agree with dwar........there is no clear pattern to determine how the CSC is punching out NOA2's......my theory is as with any type of system that has to meet quotas.......they could just be grabbing any file that they can reach within arms length just to hit their quota for the day or the week............So if yours or my file is sitting at the bottom of some box somewhere in the corner of the room.......it could be months before they eventually get to it........who knows.........

I got the exact same email today too. I called CSC yesterday to find out what the foo was going on and they told me I had to wait 61 days from the date the received the RFE (absolute garbage, getting penalized for an RFE that had to be sent because of their screwup). I checked my email this morning and got the same one you did, three times in a row. Case was touched and had the same canned message. The only thing I can say with absolute certaintity is that CSC is from another friggin planet. Best of luck to ya, hon. Here's hoping we get some well-deserved NOA2's real soon.
