Hi All,

Yesterday I had my interview at Riyadh Embassy. Here are the details steps and tips.

1) My interview time was scheduled on 9:30. I reached Embassy one hour earlier but it was of no use. They will let you in only after 9:15 (Immigration Cases only). You have to show the interview lettter send by NVC at the entrance.

2) I went inside and took token. I was the third person to take the token although my interview was first.

3) I was called on window 10. This call will be according to your token number. The indian guy took the interview letter and passport and asked me to wait.

4) I was called on window 10 again. The indian guy started taking the interview. He was filling a form according to my responses. He took medical report from me. Teared it. Took one paper from it and returned the envelope to me. One new thing. I have not read anywhere that they will ask about you job salary. This guy asked. Fortunately i took my salary certificate with me. I gave it to him. He kept on asking questions. When I told him that my wife is here with me then he asked to call her. I told him that we had a baby which is american born. He asked for passports for wife and baby. I gave him that too. It was mentioned in the letter that one should bring latest tax returns of the sponsor. I brought but he did not ask so I did not give. He asked me more questions. He took nearly 25 mins and then asked me to wait.

5) I was called again on window 10 third time. This time he asked me to give finger prints. Then he asked me to wait again for the second interview with the american guy.

6) I waited for quite a long time. I think more than one hour. Then there was an announcement to come on window 13. It is at the end of the corridor.

7) The american guy was very very friendly, nice and smily. Me and my wife went together. I will put all the question in then end. This guy took interview for about 25 30 minutes. He asked questions regarding meeting first time, engagement, marrige again and again. So better remember all the dates. He checked my Iqama as well just to check about family status. At the end of the interview, he said that i am approving your case but I have to check that if there are any missing documents. He asked me to go and verfiy my finger prints. (That is really confusing).

8) I went to window 10 again. The indian guy was there. But this time some other guy came , sat on the indian guy seat, did something on computer and then asked me to just put my middle left finger. Then the other guy left.

9) The indian guy at window 10 returned my original docs. He then gave me a blue card saying this is passport collection receipt. I asked him that what is the status. He said that there are futher processing steps that will take 2 to 3 weeks. I asked his number to call. He said that he will call me

10) No one asked for marrige pictures. CD are not allowed in embassy. They took my marriage ceremony CD at the gate.

So that is it. What do you guys think? Is my case approved? Does blue card means AP? Do they 2 to 3 weeks to every one who are now waiting for months? At least I am happy that they didnot put any objections. let me know what you guys think.

I wrote the steps in details so the guys having interview scheduled in interview can have better understandin. I am a little busy right now so i will post the questions after some time. May be tomorrow.

Congrats ... to me you are Approved and will get the visa . InshAllah

Update on case: As the interviewer told me that he is going to approve my case because it is already very late. I emailed them after three weeks and they said my case is in AP and we can not tell you time frame. Pray for me that I will come out of this soon as well. I think they are putting everyone in AP except Lancelot (a member here) who got his visa in four days.
