1. RFEs for the I693 are common - and commonly in error. Did you complete the I693 with a CS in the US or only send in your DS3025? If you already did it all with a CS in the US, then I would especially encourage you to try to get that straightened out rather than spend hundreds MORE dollars on a new one.

2. The online case status was supposed to be improved, but in my opinion is still practically useless. You're getting really strange messages, and I totally don't blame you for flipping out over them - I would too!

If I were in your shoes, I would get into contact with your senator or congressperson's office, and get their immigration helper staff to look into it for you. Maybe there's an error! Maybe you DON'T need a new I693. Get some more information.

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

More detailed time line in profile.

Hi,

Another January filer who got the transfer notice to CSC on Feb. 9 noted this case update in the Jan. filers forum. You should probably call USCIS about it if you did not send any appeal.

Here is what I found posted by a lawyer from some other site:

A posting on the USCIS site stating that a case was returned from the AAO to the USCIS generally means that the file has gone back to the service center that made the original decision on the case that was appealed. To identify the reason / status, one does generally have to contact USCIS via the National Customer Service Center.

Therefore, you should contact USCIS about this.

Good luck!

Tina

I think if it really was transferred to CSC, you should have received a hard copy stating that your case has been transferred. And then another notification that the case is now pending at the USCIS office. Otherwise, I presume that it got sent to AAO in error.

Ok I talked to CSC this morning and they said they had received the case on the 16th (the same day the email says AAO returned it) and it would undergo review and then we would be notified of a decision.
