(CNN) -- A man on trial for gunning down a Kansas abortion provider in church said he had no regrets because "abortion is murder."

Scott Roeder, 51, said he shot and killed Dr. George Tiller as services began on May 31 to save the lives of the unborn.

"There was nothing being done and the legal process had been exhausted, and these babies were dying every day," Roeder said. "I did what I thought was needed to be done to protect the children."

In your opinion, is Scott Roeder a hero? Did Dr. George Tiller deserve to be assassinated by Mr. Roeder?

No. He proved that he had no better morals than Tiller when he decided on "necessity defence" (rather akin to "doctrine of necessity" used by Pakistani dictators Zia and Musharraf to depose their benefactors--and later to continue Naziesque rule)!

2nd. Scott Roeder is a sick man (not just saying, he is obviously mentally sick as far as i read) and has killed before. He's a murderer, not a hero... people tend to mix that up. i just can't believe that they let people like him out of prison to go kill some more...
