My interview was held on November the 18th'09, everything went well with the exception of my medical exam not being complete since my doctor's office was closed for 6 weeks and I couldn't get my immunization record. Montreal USCIS officer at the interview told me to just fedex the medical exam in to them once I had it, USCIS received the completed medical and immuniztion from me on December 10th. I am a Canadian, married to my American spouse for 13 years, who has been in America with the kids since August, and I am still stuck here.

Now I am waiting for USCIS, and getting no replies to my emails from them, everything is done and the interview complete... Now what?

Any tips??? Contacts?

Regards,

and good luck to everyone!!

Hi Gerry. Montreal has been experiencing a staff shortage so, as a result, some slowdowns. The Christmas season didn't help things any, either, I'm sure. I'm going to move your thread from the K-3 Process Forum over to the Consulate Discussion. You'll also want to visit the Canada Regional Forum where there are a number of topics on Montreal, as well as a lot of friendly Canadians.

Welcome to VJ. :)

How sad, but right now, not unexpected. It could take WEEKS more for you to get your passport back. They have your passport right?

The only "tip" I can give you is to email Mtl. and put your case number in the subject line and put URGENT in bold letters as well in the subject line.

Come visit us in the Canada Forum as well.

Hope you hear something soon!

All good advice but be aware you are no longer dealing with USCIS. The Consulate in Montreal is part of the Dept. of State. They make the decision of issuing visas. USCIS approved the petition that allowed you to apply for the visa.

Yes, that makes sense, thanks for the clarification! Furthermore, I just noticed that when i Fedexed my medical stuff as requested by them, I forgot to put IV Issuance on the waybill as they specified.

Maybe I should send them another fedex with a note inside saying what I did :)

That's the French in me ;)

(for the french who'll take offense to that, lighten up LOL!!!)

The consulate is not USCIS, it is the state department. You can email the consulate and ask regarding your case.

It is the state department, ok. I have emailed them, they never reply. Too bad, I wish I could run my business like that and still be in demand LOL!
