Visa Pick-up at DHL Office

I have a question I was hoping someone could help me with.

My fiancee has her interview on Friday, September 8th. We would like to pick up her visa from the DHL office, and I was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes for an approved visa to go from the Embassy to the DHL office. For example, if she is approved on Friday, is it conceivable we could pick up the visa by the following Monday or Tuesday?

Any suggestions or advice anyone would have would be most appreciated. Thanks!

Crazy, just supposition made on experience of last week of my friend. She'd passed her interview on Thursday, and case was entered to DHL web-site just on Monday at 12.00 p.m. and then forwarded to their main office on the street of 8th of March at 16.30 p.m. They work till 8 p.m. so she didn't get on time there when she knew about that at 6 p.m. by checking their site (in spite of the fact they have her cell phone number on the receipt). So from Monday evening we've managed to order tickets on Tuesday afternoon (2.40 p.m.) She went to DHL at 9 p.m., for tickets at 10 p.m. (MAX-avia not far from the Embassy, Novinsky blvd.) and at the airport at about 12. Perfect schedule. ;)

So add 1 more day for you at any case and order your ticket ONLY when you'll see your case online on DHL site. SO let it be Wednesday for you. Be sure you mentioned DHL main office not on Tverskaya st., cause it takes more time to Tverskaya. Good luck! And share your experience later, ok? ;)

make sure there is no Russian holiday....they seem to have a zillion of them...count on 3 business days....do not buy airline tickets ahead of time !! your wife/fiance can actually walk up to the airline, and usually receive a cheaper ticket than we can buy here in the USA for them....good luck !!

skinman...how is all with your new family ??

Hi Larry! The family is fine. Had a little bit of a tough time with homesickness, but we got through it together. 8 months already, wow! How is your family now? BTW everyone, I gambled and bought my wife's tickets ahead of time. Her interview was 20 dec and dhl received her visa on 22 dec. But they screwed up and sent it to another office even though we asked them to hold it. After some panicked calls we tracked it down and she went to pick it up on 23 dec, she was flying out 14 hours later, wheww! Listen to Skinsfan, he knows his stuff, helped me with alot of questions before my lady's interview.
