Hi MsSheka, there are a few of us. Finn will be checking in soon, I am sure. I FedExed mine on 08/21, it was delivered 08/24, still no canceled checks. I just called them and they wouldn't (she said couldn't, but I believe wouldn't is the better choice of words) tell me anything and only to contact them again if I hadn't received anything within 30 days of delivery (30 days?? unbelievable!) If I wasn't fairly certain that I will see the canceled checks before then, I know for a fact I would explode before I ever made it 30 days with this uncertainty looming over me. Nonetheless, 09/23 on the calendar now has a big red X on it.

mark i know the feeling i keep checking the bank but from what i heard they send your info from the lockbox in IL to the service center and they process and cash the check so who knows where our checks are right now keep me posted though and i'll let you know if i get lucky (if they cash mine)

From what I have seen (Finn's experience and other people's timelines) it looks about 5 to 7 days for the checks to clear normally. I will also call back on Monday to see if I have better luck on Customer Service Representative selection.

I sent the petition for my son on Aug 21, 2009. But I know how hard this could be for everyone who is on the visa process. It took my own petition almost a year to get here and be with my husband. You can see in my timeline.

they won't tell me anything they just keep saying wait for a receipt or cancelled check UURRGGHH!! but time will tell i'll give them some time but once i get the receipt number its SPEED DIAL TIME!!

I would give up, but Finn got hers by phone. So, I am assuming there must be a few of them willing to help out.

PS. I mailed my water bill on 08/25 by regular mail to a company in Dallas TX (I am in Washington State). That canceled check DID appear in my account today. You are probably right, then, that the CSC will be the entity that actually cashes them.

Hello all, I am new but have sent my I-130 on 8/18 and was received on 8/20. I looked on my cancelled checked and found the receipt#. I was not able to view it until 8/27 which it shows as the receipt date. I also received the hardcopy in the mail on 8/29. So now waiting until the next step, NOA2!

Hello all, I am new but have sent my I-130 on 8/18 and was received on 8/20. I looked on my cancelled checked and found the receipt#. I was not able to view it until 8/27 which it shows as the receipt date. I also received the hardcopy in the mail on 8/29. So now waiting until the next step, NOA2!

hey people. here is what happened to us...

-we mailed ours august 1st

-CSC got it august 7th

-cashed our check on the 10th

-got the receipt number from the back of the check but couldn't check it online cos it kept saying validation error for over a week

-i bugged everyone here till Chris and Ani (God bless them) told me to +1 to the last digit and i finally got thru the uscis site

-i was still worried why after 3 weeks still no NOA1 hardcopy so i kept bugging my hubby to call them but he got a bitchy customer service rep that was rude to him

-then yesterday i saw online that they said they couldn't deliver the receip. i really (i mean REALLY) pushed my hubby to call them again and so he did this morning and we got everything clear and good and CSC is resending our NOA1 hardcopy cos post office sent it back to them and said it was undeliverable. my hubby told them where to mail it. my hubby and i argued about that address for weeks lol

so now we are still waiting for that NOA1 hardcopy... after that more waiting ... for the NOA2 this time (please God)
