Just tried it using my VPN, worked fine.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Check out this site to:

I miss things like Hotel Babylon and this site is a one stop shop pointing you to links for programmes.

Some are hit and miss. But most of the time I find what I am looking for!

I find this site better then UK Nova. The box.bz also does requests. I download the shows and save them onto a usb stick which then goes into my dvd player that plays divx. Im in heaven lol. I had downloaded the latest top gear on a Sunday evening here which isn't as edited like it is on BBC America.

You could try starting with this: http://tinyurl.com/dl5bxa

Hehe. Ok but really, I use utorrent for downloading: http://www.utorrent.com/ and vlcplayer for viewing, since it will play basically any file type you can imagine: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

Nich-Nick is your expert there; she uses it all the time. Apparently, it's a device that one attaches to a TV set in the UK, which can then be remotely operated in the U.S. using a PC interface. All far too technogeeky for me.

Thanks to this thread I have, however, discovered the wonderful world of torrenting, and have become a member of UKnova. And a splendid site it is too.

Slingbox is good.....

I got sent a programme the other day, which you just install onto your pc and if you have vlc set up as your video player, you can pick any UK TV channel to watch live.

I'll dig it out - seems to work with most of the channels almost all the time. I watched the England game the other day on ITV.

EDIT: Here you go......the email I got in the first instance

Thought you might like this, this bod has written a programme that allows you to watch 19 UK channels online, no problem

http://www.myp2pforum.eu/live-tv/41045-british-tv.html

You need to have VLC as your default player

Then download the zip file from the myP2P link, extract the .exe file and copy it to your VLC programme file (I think it just needs to be on the same drive, but I stuck it there anyhow, then copied a direct link to desktop)

Open, type in the Channel number from the menu, hit enter and voila.
