USPS releases list of post offices that may be closed

What I don't get is why Puerto Rico post offices are listed under the New York Metro section

So, 1000 with an average of 10 people/station with 10 person each making $12 avg/hr. So, it's 1000 location x 10 employees x 12 wage x 8 hours x 6 days = 5.76 million dollars saved/year

I don't mind that they close post office locations so long as they actually provide adequate staffing at the ones they retain.

Ever been to the main office behind Penn Station? Even at lunchtime "rush hour" they only have about 3 windows open.

It would be nice if we had one more post office around here. One is open until 7pm which is really good though. But when I go during the day the line is mostly elderly people who don't know how to use the automated postal center and waste their time in a long line.

Wow - the one I know about that surprises me is the one at Hartsfield Jackson airport in Atlanta. It is the busiest airport in the world and the post office isn't much more than a one person operation. We've used that post office a number of times to mail items out before we fly out to visit someone. It is always busy. Interesting.
