Hi all,

1) Joint Savings & Checking account

2) Joint water,electricity bills & credit cards.

3) Joint Home lease - Though this is a good evidence but my wife is not ready to add me as she says she has a bad crdit rating , so it may affect mine. What shd we do ??

4) Joint name on buying of dog from Petsmart

5) Joint YMCA membership

6) Joint Library account

7) Common address proofs

8) Lots of joint pics & wedding pics

9) Emails & chat records 5-6 each month. Has this to be from the time we met ..... we met in Jan,2007 ...so we have records from may be July/June,2007. Will that be ok ??

10) Joint Tax returns

11) My return e-tickets ( as i came with B1/B2 visa)

12) Recommendation letters from USC friends and family members.

13) USC`s last 3 yrs tax returns and last 5 months bank statements

14) Co sponsors filled form and last 3 yrs tax returns ( this was not included with the main application )

15) My papers from my homeland such as bank accounts, provident fund accounts , health insurance that i still pay , electircity and phone bills that i pay, life insurance that is still paid etc etc. Now these were sent by my relatives five - six months earlier. So do i need to show most present ones or old ones wd do ?

16) Birth Certificates of both and etc etc all original documents and copy of civil surgeons report and vaccination records.

You are good to go. Overdoing it is not a good thing either :) Good Luck! I am not sure if I need these documents too since my I-130 has already been approved. I guess my interview is just about my intent to enter and AOS.

I can't really speak to any of your specific questions, but that is a really good list of evidence. A lot of people, including myself and my husband, didn't have near that much and did just fine. I think you're good with all of that.

The joint lease question you asked confused me-are you guys together on the lease or not?

Thanks Trillium. Nope I am not still in her joint lease, but she can add if she wants. As i said she is hesitating as she says her bad credit score wd affect me too.

I don't think that is the case. Having you on the lease doesn't effect your own credit history. And if it does, whenever the SSN is run, you two srping up Husband/Wife. Atleast have yourself on the lease. You Haven't event filed joint taxes. Some of the things that we do are not really relevant. Unless your joint accounts have hefty amounts, and you can prove that you both have really been managing the accounts and credit cards, they wont give it much thought. Just be prepared. And like trillium13, even I dont have half the things on your list. But I have a few very solid evidences that are more than enough and dont intend to take much with me anyway. Good Luck. Waiting to hear some good news from you.

hi christera22,

I think u have more than enough evidence.

If u had ur name on lease then it would have been very very good.

Anyway u have joint tax returns with the same mailing address then it would be fine i think.

I din't had lot of things u mentioned.

One important thing: DO NOT SHOW ALL THE DOCUMENTS TO THE IMMIGRATION OFFICER IF HE/SHE DOESN'T ASK U.

JUST ANSWER AND SHOW WHAT HE/SHE ASK U.

Don stress out too much. Be confident.

I wish u good luck and I hope everything will go smoothly with ur interview as mine.

It seems like you have plenty of evidence. Don't forget to bring your marriage certificate!

The person who interviewed us didn't ask to see most of what we brought, so at the end of the interview, I said, "Would you like to see ...?" She was like "Oh, yes. If you have anything, I can put it in your file."

I don't think having both of your names on the lease matters that much. When she interviewed us, she was more interested in our relationship than living together, etc. She didn't ask to see our lease! (We gave it to her anyway.) She asked to see proof of our on-going relationship such as emails, travel itineraries (since we had a long distance relationship), pictures, etc. I think any couple could come up with a joint document such as a lease even if the relationship is not legitimate. What's important is the realness of your relationship. So, yeah, I think you'll be fine without the lease.

Good luck!
