I'm apparently not in an appreciative mood today.

They killed my favorite thread on VJ. That's left me very ornery.

NBC Nightly News devoted roughly 3/4 of its coverage tonight to the non-news story of this guy with a deformed face and a gloved hand who apparently died today, 1/8 of its time to this lady with cancer who apparently died, and 1/8 of its time to cover the Supreme Court decision on strip searches in school, and ongoing tension in Iran. That's all the time they had for real news. I did not appreciate that at all, and it's left me pretty pissed to have wasted 30 minutes on that #######.

It's a good thing I also watched The Newshour where they focused heavily on the SCOTUS decision, Bernanke's testimony to Congress today, the new bombing campaign in Iraq, and Obama's press conference on his cap-trade initiative. Oh yeah, they mentioned in passing the guy with the glove and the lady with cancer. Which is as it should be.

Not that any of this is your fault, or even that thread merging is a bad idea or a good idea. I don't care. I'm just pissed and gonna say so. It's OT. I'm not attacking anyone. Just wasting the bitspace, same as everyone else around here. Sue me.
