K1 Visa Holder - What are needed to do to file AOS?

Hi Guys!

To start of.... I got here in US through a K1 Visa. The expiration of my 90 days upon entry is on September and my wedding day would be this August.

We're almost done with our wedding preparation. So while waiting for our wedding day, we're thinking to start assembling the package for my AOS.

Now, here are the questions the running around our head while thinking on how to do it. :help:

1. What do we need to file AOS?

2. What are the forms that we need in filing AOS?

3. What are the things that we need to include in our AOS package aside from forms?

4. Where do we need to send the AOS package? What is the address?

5. How much it will cost us in filing the AOS?

6. What are the other considerations that we need in filing the AOS as a K1 Visa entry?

Lifting Condition (I-751)

09/09/2011 - Sent the package to CSC

09/13/2011 - CSC received the package

09/15/2011 - CSC cashed check and NOA1 Received

09/26/2011 - Biometrics Appointment Notice Date (Sent)

10/13/2011 - Early Biometrics

10/19/2011 - Biometrics Appointment

10/26/2011 - GC expiration

11/25/2011 - Received RFE

11/28/2011 - Sent response to RFE

01/13/2012 - Ordered card production (Approved)

01/19/2012 - 10 yrs GC received

Depending where you live - see the instructions for the I-485.

5. How much it will cost us in filing the AOS?

$1010.00 - again in the guides :whistle:

6. What are the other considerations that we need in filing the AOS as a K1 Visa entry?

Do it asap.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

07-17-06: Married

AOS Timeline

08-14-06: Mailed I-485 to Chicago

08-24-06: NOA for I-485

09-08-06: Biometrics Appointment

09-25-06: I-485 transferred to CSC

09-28-06: I-485 received at CSC

10-18-06: AOS Approved

10-21-06: Approval notice mailed

10-23-06: Received "Welcome Letter"

10-27-06: Received 2 yr Green Card

I-751 Timeline

07-21-08: Mailed I-751 to VSC

07-25-08: NOA for I-751

08-27-08: Biometrics Appointment
