I've been wondering how the right-wing element on VJ consider what they are doing to bring more immigrants into the United States while a pillar of the Republican base is closed borders? Should the K-1/K-2/K-3 visas be abolished once your SO's get approved?

Man you are way off base. Conservatives don't like ILLEGAL immigrants. Legal immigration is fine. I challenge you to show me any mainstream conservative that wants to stop legal immigration. More innuendo and lies I see.

The closing of borders pertains to illegal immigrants who just cross the border without undergoing all the legalities to be in this country.

I am an immigrant, through marriage, and I hate it seeing undocumented aliens and illegal residents becoming parasites of the government.

I mean, the closing of the border and immigrants through a valid relationship are two different things sweetheart. No comparison at all.

June 1, 2009 - Packed Received by USCIS around 4PM (per USPS Confirmation Delivery Receipt) - now, what's next?

June 2, 2009 - I-797C Receipt Date (Time 21:07....are they operating 24 hours???)

June 3, 2009 - Cashed Check/Bank Cleared

June 4, 2009 - USCIS Postage Date

June 5, 2009 - Local Post Office Receipt date (so, its been sitting on our mail box in house #2 for 5 days...)

June 11, 2009 - Got it! 1 year extension notice......

June 18, 2009 - Received Biometrics schedule

July 10, 2009 - Biometrics Day (cancelled/re-sched)

July 23, 2009 - Biometrics day

November 2, 2009 - Approved

November 5, 2009 - Received via Mail "Approval Notice"

Waiting for actual GC
