Hello Again Canadians!

I am visiting my fiance for my second trip to Canada in 10 days!!

I'll be there for two weeks, so I'll be able to really spend some quality time while I'm there.

He is taking me to Niagra Falls and to Canada's Wonderland (he says our rollercoasters are lame and that Wonderland blows the socks off of ours).

Last time I was there, we spent a day in Toronto and went to a play at the Princess of Wales Theatre (it was amazing!).

He lives near Hamilton in Ontario. He asked me what I'd like to see while I'm there . . . Hello!!!! I have no idea! I don't live there! lol

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance for your ideas!

The park ontop of the escarpment?? ya fun for like 3 seconds ( "ooohhh look how the pollution just hangs over the city" "hey whats that weird smell?".... I lived in Hamilton for quite a while before i moved south. His comments about the roller coasters is not so accurate .. they are fun but there are much much better ones in the states it all really depends on what you like to do Niagara Falls will be interesting for a day but really depends on your interests as to what direction to go .. Hamilton does not have alot of any kind of entertainment so you'll either be heading towards Toronto or Niagara

Mine too!

The Distillery District is fun for brunch and wandering. There's also Dundurn Castle and Casa Loma if you like that sort of thing. The ROM and the AGO are interesting, and I really enjoyed the McMichael Canadian Art Collection.

For scenery you can't beat the north. The east side of Georgian Bay is amazing. Go on the 30,000 islands cruise or the 10,000 islands in Kingston.

If you enjoyed the theatre then you will love the Stratford Festival.

There are tons more places but I'll give someone else a chance. In fact, there's probably been 50 posts made about it while I was creating this message.

You, warlord and deadpool can be the three anti-Canadian grumps.

My parents both immigrated to Hamilton from Europe and met there and got married there and my brother was born there. It's not as dumpy as you make it out to be.

Also, Wonderland is still pretty fun and you will enjoy it!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard
