How many of us are actually left from December that still haven't gotten our noa2? Supposedly there about 30 of us considering everyone updated their time line. Add your name to the list, and we'll cross ourselves off as approved.

ok folks as I am sure all of us are at this point now...........

June 14 will be the 60 day deadline for them to respond with a decision. Received RFE response ( case resumed processing ), email in hand. Call me pessimistic, but I really do not see anything coming next week.

I already went to the congressman. What are the next steps? Any ideas?

Once you hit 60 days, you can make a formal service request over the phone.

Or you can do like I did and make an infopass appointment. I got a service request 3 weeks early that way... but this may involve a few hours of wait time. I suggest scheduling it as early as possible to minimize your wait.

I posted about my infopass experience here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=200747

Thanks Nat. I did read your experience there. I'm not sure if I trust the people over the phone, actually, I don't know if I trust anyone in government right now. Heck, maybe I will sell my business and move to Brazil!..... ok, probably not, but at least it's warm year round....

The caseworker at the congressman's office also told me that I could call her back if it was not resolved. I wonder if anyone has gotten updates on the USCIS website? I haven't had a touch since 4/15/09, when they received the rfe response. called call center and changed address, congressman spoke to them about an error, still no touch's.... nothing. that is why I don't believe anyone.

hopefully we are all going to have some good news this week.

Well I decided to go ahead and waste my time and call the 1-800 # to the USCIS. The only good thing is that is did not cost me a dime but cost me 22 minutes of my (in)sanity.

After punching every number (press 1 for English!) to finally get a live (well not completely comatose anyway) person. Pamela answered and seemed genuinely interested (insert sarcasm here) in my concerns that our petition is lost or misplaced. Obviously reading from a prepared (she can read!) statement stapled to the inside of her 4x4 cubicle deep in the bowels of some nondescript building in Vermont, Pamela quickly and oh so efficiently detailed that nothing can be done until after 6 months has expired. After 6 months she will gladly send in a "service request" asking for a "status". She also stated that some cases "take a bit longer" to analyze and examine...bla bla bla.

We have to come to the conclusion we are at their mercy and have to play by rules we have no control over. I have seen in other posts that the USCIS will delay 129F and 130 petitions so that foreign work permits can be finished in a "timely manner". Why is a USC put in a category below a company wanting foreign work permits? You want to hear silence? Call your senator and ask that question.

Sorry for the rant, I am as frustrated as many of you are. Yes, the system is flawed, elected official have higher (much higher) priorities than us little people. We are all on a runaway train, we can't jump off so we have to just ride it out. God help us all and good luck we are approved in short order.

Amen to that Gary!

So one week from tomorrow, I can assure you that I will be on the phone!

I know some of you guys are nearly at the 6 month mark and I'm just at the 5 month but I can feel your pain and frustration. Its so depressing everytime I look on here and see febuary people getting accepted and talking about interviews and NVC. Fair play to them and I'm happy for them btw, but when a cases like ours is left aside to rot with any given reason or excuse or apology then it stings and depresses more so. I prey for a VSC complete and utter reshuffle and to get everything straight and do things properly again starting with sorting you guys out first then very swiftly followed by ours.

Good luck everyone, we due some.

01/08/2009 - POSTED NOA1 to VSC

01/13/2009 - RECEIVED NOA1, Case Pending

02/06/2009 - TOUCHED - Finacee moved so I presume that was the reason for it

05/20/2009 - Contacted Congressman's Alan Grayson's Offices to ask for assistance on our case, He agrees

06/13/2009 - 5 months and nothing, not even from our congressman :( Were is our NOA2!!!!!!

06/16/2009 - Our congressman actually made contact us for the first time in 4 weeks only to tell us they had written our address down wrong so here we are, still stuck in limbo with not a clue what's happenening

06/17/2009 - Called NVC on a off chance they might have it and they do!!!!! Woop woop. All we need now is that hard copy and were set!

06/17/2009 - NVC send our visa and petition to the london embassy - My packet 3 is on the way, woop woop!

06/19/2009 - Recieved NOA2 in the post, dated 06/11/2009. The panicing is over.....for now

07/01/2009 - Reeceived Packet 3 in the post, woop woop
