Has This Happened to Anyone Else?!!!

My husband had his first interview on April 2nd, at which time they kept our correspondence and photos. The consulate did not get back to him until April 21st. They asked him to return for a second interview. I flew there to be with him and to go to his second interview which was on April 27th. They also interviewed me at this time. After the interview, she said that we could go and that they would contact us at a later time. My husband asked if they were refusing us at this time, she said no. He asked if she could tell us when they would contact us and she said no. The only thing she would say was that we were still under review. We are STILL waiting for them to contact us with an answer 15 days later. Can anyone help us and let us know if they have any experience with this sort of thing and what we might expect? As you can understand, we are "on the edge of our seats" awaiting our verdict

You are in what is called "AP" (Administrative Processing), which happens a lot to people from Muslim countries and some others. It's basically additional name and security checks, and can last anything from a couple of weeks to a year.

you think only muslims can be put on AP? yeah right man! at least they dont go to fraud units like filipina women marrying americans twice their ages, besides when they say AP it doesnt mean the visa is denied, u just gotta wait a little bit more...

Taj's american wife why the offensive response? is it more common in MENA countries than Phillipines to be into AP?maybe that is why she asked.. at least that is what it seems like to me in my frequent visits reading in the forum.. In no way does that constitute a negative picture in my mind about MENA countries... EVER!! Instead of assuming that offensive stance why not educate? isn't that why we are here?

first not only Muslims go on AP ..everyoe can and i saw examples in many countires ..specially high fraud ones .filip , india , pakistan and nigeria is one of them ...thts according to many articles everywhere ...and thts why no DV visa`s for such countries ...so not only muslims ..lets say ALOT for muslims ..but still applied for everyone else ...

I agree with No where man.. Its not that only Muslims get AP or Muslim country ppl gets AP. Look at the NO where man.. He got his case done without any difficulties. Thats true No where man i m from Indian and i have seen a lot fraud ppl here who go over seas and fraud the GOV. its their rule of being hard and they have to if they don't do then They might have trouble for their countries and somehow they r trying to save their own ppl from frauds. Here we r not for any religious debate, we are here only to support each other and ask for help to live with our loved once. I have seen a lot philli ppl and so many Indians and Pakistani getting married to US citizen for green card and due to these ppl we have to face all the problem.

We should be nice with everyone. forum doesn't mean we can write whatever we want to. I don't wann call anyone's name who said and who not but lets not just argue here.

dear don't worry or AP so many ppl get that its not only the Muslims or any religion person living in muslim country. So be calm and faith in ur god. God will give ur husband visa soon. do not worry you r your husband not doing anything wrong so u don't have to worried about AP. U will pass this days smoothly In The AP.

Amen!!!!! Anyone is subject to AP, but sadly, mainly from Muslim countries go on AP, just because where they are from. And thats all I have to say about that one. Taj'samericanwife, I know how you feel!!!!

Yes i agree with no where man, tngrl didnt meant it or maybe what she had read was only about muslims ( those who got AP). Yes, tngrl is a decent person and she is one of those who are very helpful in our March Filers Forum. Paris heart, No where man, tnguy and tngurl and very helpful and very generous with their help in our forum.

Also, yes, a lot of people can have AP or possible to have AP particularly that the world is becoming so uncertain. A lot of people are into fraud marriages that affect other people who are doing it right. Yes, it is sad really but there is always good and bad, wherever you go. Whether you are in my beloved Philippines, India, America , Pakistan, Africa, anywhere in the world.

We are all brothers anyway, Moslems and Christians, though different in beliefs and faith.

I have to disagree, it's like misinformed, ignorant about this issue more likely... One of the advantages of internet is the connection that we can make with peoples from everywhere around the world, we have the chance to educate others first.
