strange phone call from NVC

Had the strangest call yesterday. a lady called and asked for my ex-wife and when I introduced myself as her ex-husband she hung-up. The # was a non-working # for NVC.

My case has been in Ap for 35 days now. I called them back and the operator denied knowing anything about the call and said NVC does not call anyone.

Do you guys have any idea what that was all about?

How did you confirm it was the NVC?

Youre in AP at NVC now? They do check on living situations, as one person was asked at interview (after being released from NVC AP) about a person listed as living at the fiance's address at the same time he held the lease.

I doubt they would actually call from NVC though....seems VERY odd. :unsure:

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.
