POST FROM THOMPSON2

So how does this work thing work?? I have been blessed that all the times I go to see my SO he doesn’t have to work. If I go in May he will have to work so I'm kind of worried about this. I mean he lives in a part of Jamaica where you have ta walk a good way to get to the taxi stand and he's terrified about me walking alone so he won't let me do that but who wants to sit in the house all day?? This is another reason why I’m not sure it I’m going. He does have a personal taxi friend I can probably call to come get me while I'm there but you can only walk the hip strip so much sit it the casino so long and I'm not used to going to the beach by myself.. Umm do I take books and movies??

Well, before I met his family I went to work with him. He works at a hotel and depending on the boss I sometimes was able to go in and have some drinks, eat, and enjoy the entertainment. Other times I would sit in the lobby and read a book or watch a movie on my portable DVD player. Now that I met his family I have to spend all his work time with his mom. I rent a car so usually I take his mom on errands. I'm trying to think what you can do. It's so true about only being able to walk the hip strip so much. I hate the thought of being stuck in a house all day too. I think your best bet is to get a ride to the hip strip and then do a little shopping/looking and then bring a book and find a nice place to read. I know right past Breezes (going away from Margaritaville there are a few shops and in the middle is a grill/bar. There are some tables and chairs that you can sit at and chill. Some of it is shady if you don't want the sun all day. You have been lucky your SO hasn't had to work.

Kimmy - I never thought I would like dogs so much either. And you know the husband is in disbelief that he has a dog that lives inside. LOL. He loves the dog no doubt about it.

But this morning, I was on Babies R US looking at crib bedding..:wacko:
