I-864 discrepancy

Here's the story...

Husbie initially filed his taxes online (i forgot the company name). In the said site, the filing was separate for W2's and 1099. The site didn't give him the summary of payment combining both. When we sent I-864 to NVC, we just used his gross income written in his W2 but we attached the receipt of the online filing and the supporting docs. Our case has been completed just using the said W2 income without any RFE because it is above poverty guidelines.

Now here's the scenario..

Husbie called IRS to check if his tax return has been accepted and found out that the site is only for employers so it is not applicable for him. The officer told him to file a new return because what he filed online would be rejected in the system. He filed again using Turbo Tax online. Now in his tax return receipt (1040x), the gross income is $12,000 more than we have initially submitted to the NVC because of his 1099 and W2 combined..

Now I am confused. Do we need to prepare a new I-864 to be submitted during the time of interview since the Turbo Tax return is more accurate and accepted by IRS? Or just let it be not unless the CO would ask me? I am just afraid that they might check it and find out that there is a discrepancy in IRS records and our I-864.

Best thing to do is call up NVC. They are fairly helpful and friendly on the phone lines.

Nevertheless I don't think they look up your tax return long as you have overwhelming

evidence of sufficient income and you attested it to be accurate.
