Hi everyone,

I got my I130 and I129f approved on march 16th2009.I called NVC today and they gave me a case number for I129f but they have not received my I 130 from USCIS yet.The operator told me to wait as it may take 90 days. Now my question is I wanted to pursue I 130 as it has more benefits so what do I do with K3.Should i proceed with it.I am ready to wait a couple more months for I 130.My I 130 was approved within 1 month, can this be the reason for delay in reaching NVC as normally it takes 5-6 months for I130 to be approved.

any help is greatly appreciated

Many keep both processing,

Reply quickly to the I-864 and DS-230 packets, in many cases the I-130 makes it to consulate before K-3 interview date at which point the K-3 gets dropped in favor of the CR-1 or IR-1 (I-130) petition.

If not you can always get K-3 interview rescheduled to allow I-130 to catch up, OR can interview for K-3, and simply wait the few weeks and interview again for CR-1/IR-1.

This will save you time and $$$ to NOT have to file AOS and wait months for a green-card.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.
