Transfer from VSC to CSC

Hi Everyone,

Our case got transfer from VSC to CSC on March 10, 2009. Our case got 3 touches since the CSC received it. Is this a good or a bad sign? We just hope not to get an RFE. Has anybody have their cases touches too after got transfered?

I dont believe it necessarily means a RFE, I believe they got your package and they were looking at it. It's a good thing!!

How do you know your file has been touched? Ours was transferred to CSC on 3/19 so obviously it got touched then, but how do you know whenit happens again? I saw on this site ( somewhere?) that CSC seems to be cranking out approvals of 751's in about 5 weeks. That would be fine with us.

BTW did you get the transfer notice on the mail? we didn't get ours yet.

You can go to USCIS website and register. You will see if your case have some updates or at least it got touch.

We're in the same boat! I've seen some people got approved one month after they got transfered to CSC. Hope we got approved soon!

We're still waiting for the transfer notice in the mail .

We're in the same boat! I've seen some people got approved one month after they got transfered to CSC. Hope we got approved soon!

We're still waiting for the transfer notice in the mail .

My wife got an e-mail on March 4, 2009 saying the case was transferred from the VSC to CSC. She just got the letter on Friday, March 27, 2009. The letter was dated March 18, 2009.

So I wouldn't worry too much about not getting the letter yet.

My step-son just got an email this past weekend saying the same thing. We sent my wife's form in 2 months before his (2008) and it's been a year since we have heard anything about the I-751 for her even.

Is this outside of the time-frame? Do I need to contact them to ask why its taken more than a year? She has only a letter from them saying its being processed and since the letter is outdated she cant travel outside of the states.

Well, I was on vacation in Switzerland and when I got home, I had a letter dated 3/12/09 informing me, that my case has been moved from VSC to CSC. And last week I got a letter dated 3/18/09 informing me that the conditions on my residency have been removed and that I will receive my 10 year green card within the next few days. So it was less than a week from transfer to aproval for me (at least the correspondence was). There's hope - you might get your aproval sooner than you thought!
