THAT miserable receptionist at Bentick Mansions

Yes folks, you know the one, the miserable beotch with not so much as a chip but a lumber yard on her shoulder. I've lost count of the number of people in the medical report thread that have had the standard, incredibly rude encounter with her, so I thought she deserved a thread all of her own, legend that she is. So please feel free to discuss your encounters with her here.

In my case, I had the audacity to turn up a little early for my appointment. Stupidly, I figured that'd be OK because I could just sit in the waiting room and read for a bit until it was time for me to be seen. So what happened when I rang the bell?

This:

Beotch: (adopts Katherine Tate "bovvered" voice) "Yeah, can I help you?"

Me: (incredibly politely) "Ah yes, I'm here for a medical appointment for my U.S vi......."(gets cut off by an increasingly irritated beotch before I've ended my sentence).

Beotch: "yeah, what time?"

Me: "erm, 1 o'clock" (it was 12 or so at the time)

Beotch: "yeah, well we're closed for lunch, so you'll have to go away and come back later"

Me: "oh, OK then..erm....."(I was going to ask exactly what time lunch was over, but then........

Beotch: "yeah, thanks then..." SILENCE.

When I did eventually get in, she looked every bit as miserable as she sounded, which is a shame, because she's actually rather physically attractive. However, she may as well have looked like Bella Emberg, such was the phenomenal turn-off effect or her sour-faced antics.

Next....

Was that the blonde sort?

She was lovely with me. I called up to see if there were earlier appointments (there weren't) but she suggested enjoying the sunshine or popping back to wait at any time.

That's the one. And I'm slightly confused here. Is it a different Pothergavel that wrote the following in another thread recently:

"The receptionist is better looking than she is polite..."

i'm pretty sure she's who i made the appointment with on the phone, the kind of person who doesn't say bye to end the call they just hang up. i really hate that haha.

i'm glad i had a curvy lady with brown hair dealing with me, i didn't need to be any more petrified than i already was. :)

Now you've all got me doubting myself.

I just assumed when I called them after my interview that I had spoken to the blonde lass as she was the one there when I actually arrived at the medical. And whoever it was, genuinely was polite, nice and genuine.

However, there was another woman there (a dark haired lady too).

And I have to admit that she was a little bit short when talking face to face.

Maybe it was the dark haired lady on the phone?

Despite all of that, the three medical staff were all great - which I guess is the most important thing.

Never mind the receptionist, is the evil Asian lady still a doctor there? Scary!!!

Yep, that's EXACTLY how she is. Imagine going to your medical and having to deal with that as a first port of call!!

that is so weird as she was nice to me, and I was expected the devil's spawn..........well it takes one to know one so she probably thought we were kindrid spirits so was cool. Probably realised that I was the type of girl who hits back!!!!!
