If I enter US on K-3 let say and I my cr-1 gets done before my adjustment of status what happens

can I do interview and get cr-1?

Someone said you would have to go back out of the US to interview for the CR1. Have u tried asking NVC? They might be able to give u the answer.

you will have to go back home and have the interview. Thats what the k3 was developed for, so you can "wait" for the cr1 with your family member, or do AOS. If you apply for aos right away, i dont know what implications that will have on the cr1 being scheduled for interview.

I got a lady on the phone, my case is still waiting to be reviewed

they can see i send two packages but not what they are even

so that is not so good

But 1 my cr-1 cannot cancel my K-3

after I entered the US with K-3 I can get out got to the interview outside the US and get CR-1 instead of Adjustment of status

so that will skip the $1010 for adjustment of status

SO I FEEL BETTER NOW!

Your other option is to remain in your home country until completion of the NVC processing of your immigrant visa then enter the US under immigrant status.

Stay in the US until your CR-1 comes up and go back and get the CR-1 visa. You'll get your GC and SS card in the mail soon after coming back to the US. Beats the heck out of adjusting status.

You can even get denied a GC doing AOS and be deported. Doesn't happen often but it's still possible. Cost of not paying for AOS will almost pay for your plane flight!!!

If you leave the US, and go to the embassy for the CR-1 interview, you do run the risk of being denied. However, you have already been approved for a K-3, so you have that in your favor. But there is always the risk.
