Hey guys, Stuart here freshly approved today after a long #### day, hectic to say the least, as Kristine said, the interview, no problem, the journey home, an absolute nightmare. Anyway, i thought i would throw in my hotel experience:

I stayed at the Marble Arch Inn hotel that is located within a gentle 15 minute walk from the Embassy. After i got off the tube i picked up a road map on the way out that was free that shows you where certain things are in the area, ie The Embassy.

So my thoughhts on the hotel was i got what i paid for really, i was charged £60 for a single room with a toilet and a shower. It wasnt the biggest of rooms or bathroom to say the least, lol but hey, im not going to complain because all i used it for was a bed, i was only in the room for about 7 hours, as i was out watching the mighty red devils shove it up Mourinhos u know what, 'hes not special anymore' hes not special anymore....hahaha sorry. Anyway i guess what im trying to say is if you aint stuck up and all you want is a clean bed clean room then i would reccomend this hotel, but be warned, on the website it does show free wi-fi internet, this was true, but as i was on the first floor, it was out of range, just my luck. oh and in the price i got a breakfast basket containing a carton of apple juice, a strawberry yoghurt and some frosties and milk combo thingy, lol

so im kinda ####### at doing this but maybe this will help people who are due to go to london anytime soon, anymore questions anyone wants to know, go right ahead, im all for it, Oh and thanks alot for the well wishes and good lucks, the interview was a breeeeze

Stuart

Congrats on the approval. I think we all need to do a sticky thread for hotel reviews since everyones different has diffrent tastes and budgets etc

I stayed here. http://www.exhiwimbledon.co.uk/index.html I paid 60 Pounds for the night. It was easy to get to central London at tube station opposite the hotel.

Yeah i agree, a thread would probably be a good idea for London hotels, but i didnt want the hassle of dealing with the tubes at that time in the morning, since i had an early interview, i wouldnt reccomend dealing with the tubes no matter what time the interview is, a gentle walk to the embassy to gather yourself, worked for me. But hey, people are differant in many ways. thats my opinion anyway.

If I didn't live so close I'd probably go for a chain like an Ibis or a Travelodge. Least you know what to expect as they are all the same plus Ibis are pretty cheap. I recently stayed at Euston for £52.

Congrats! We also stayed at that hotel and it was perfectly good for quick overnight stay and as you say an easy stroll to the embassy. We had the family room as my son was with us.

Congrats on the approval! I toyed with the idea of a hotel. My mum even wanted to pay for a room at the Hilton for me! But I live close enough on the south east coast that i just travelled up in the early, early morning. I'm still tired now!
