Since there is a thread for people waiting for an interview at the Montreal Embassy, I thought I would start one for people waiting for one at the Vancouver Embassy.

I have sent in my package 3 and now I am waiting to hear when my interview is going to be.

I should be waiting for an interview at the Vancouver consulate, although for some reason my petition was sent to the Montreal consulate. I live in Vancouver, so this is very strange. I hope they can get this cleared up soon, so that I can get on with the process. I heard that this has happened to others on the forum, does anyone have the link to a thread in which this happened to someone?

As a few people have stated in another thread, just email the Montreal Consulate with your case # and ask them to transfer your case to the Vancouver Consulate. A couple other people have done it before and their case seems to be transfered there with no problem.

The process in Vancouver seems to go a bit quicker than Montreal.

Be sure to put your montreal case # in the email, as well as your name as it appears on the NOA1 & 2.

I didn't think that Vancouver processed the IR1/CR1 visas...that would be why it's coming from Montreal?? I went thru the Vancouver Consulate for the K3/K4 process...with a tip, I think it cost about $25 for the cab and there are lockers at the airport as you can't take ANYTHING in the Consulate other than the required documents. The lockers are CHEAP! Seeing that my 16 yr old son had to go to the interview too, it was great being able to take stuff for him and having the locker to store it all.

effective May 13, 2011 - back in Canada, journey is over

Looks like faramir is doing K1 - not CR1 - just the signature is a bit confusing.

Liz used to keep a great google spreadsheet on K1 and K3 timelines - whatever happened to the spreadsheet anyone know or have a link to it? Would be great if we could get access to it or Liz could share it for someone else to update?

Ok I found the spreadsheet here: http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=pjs...HOCavn_ONGctqIg

Now someone just needs to track down liz!

Based on the reviews I've read, if you get there extremely early it won't do you any good, because they won't let you past security and into the building until about 15 mins prior to your appointment. You may want to double-check with the consulate's website though, as this may have changed or the review info may be inaccurate.
