Got NOA2 hardcopy. What do I do now? Who do I call?

I called USCIS customer service today to find out what the next step is. The person I spoke with couldn't tell me what I need to do? Is there someone out there who knows what I have to do and who I should call to find out what to do? Where is my case? When do I schedule interview? Phone #'s etc?

OK, so you learned about the USCIS...don't bother to call.

Go to the embassy website, download packet 3 (if you have not already) and get all your documents for the interview prepared. You will soon get a letter from the NVC with your case number for the consulate. When you have this case number you can schedule your medical appointment. Send an email to the consulate and ask if they have your case, give it TWO weeks, minimum from when you receive the letter from NVC. If you have all your documents and they have the case, schedule your interview.

Calling the USCIS, NVC, etc. is an excerise in futility guarenteed to make you angry and make them laugh.

Congratulations Make sure you keep the approval NOA in a safe place, you will need it later and it costs a fortune to replace

Congratulations on the NOA2. I started calling NVC right away, and got the number (KEV in our case) right away. The embassy was actually trying to schedule us before we were ready, so we had to call several times waiting for our desired date to free up for appointments.

Embassy does not schedule the interviews..
