Casa changes the rules at will. When we interviewed they were not asking for or even taking the financial docs from fiance visa clients. You need to get the requested paperwork from your fiancee and take it to Casa as soon as you can so they can complete your case. They won't be calling you until you do that.

If you received the 221 (g) asking specifically for income taxes and affidavit of support then make sure that you get these documents to the consulate as soon as possible. I'm not sure what's your fiance's financial situation is but please make sure that she complies with the request providing all of the back up as needed since you want to make sure that your are giving Casa what they want to move your case forward.

Hi

You need to get the taxe return for the past 2 years. Make sure to tell you fiancee the taxes returns and she will know as well as the affidavit of support. It's very simple and easy. I f she doesn't have the taxes return she can call the Social security and request the transcript and they will fax it to her right the way. Good luck with everything and be lucky they just ask you for only that paper and it's required by the consulat

Hello pat-yass. We had a simular experience with a lady interviewer in casa also. She wanted the american citesens income records to prove that it was above poverty for the usa.

Ask your wife to send you her records federal express or overnight (ASAP) it will still take a week o so to get to you in morocco but than you can take them to CASA so she can review them. If it is the same lady that interviewed our case she is really challenging so don't let her agitate you. She'll try. Good luck.... many of us have been thru it same as you and we are together now .

Hi Pat-Yass and everyone who responded:

I'm just curious, in your original interview packet, the consulate DID NOT ask for any financial information? Or what financial information did they request?

I'm hoping we get our NOA2 and therefore the interview in the next few months and want to be prepared!

And good luck!

Shukran jazilan!

Rebecca
