A simple check of the USE Manila website would provide the answer

In certain cases where the sponsoring U.S. citizen resides in the Philippines, the I-130 petition may be filed at the USCIS office at the Embassy in Manila.

YMMV

yup they do DCF in Manila. That is what my husband and I did and now he is here with me in the United States. Pretty fast processing time in Manila and the best thing is that one doesn't have to go through the NVC. Good luck!

the DCF process took 6 months for us in Manila. In other consulates it is faster though.

I recently helped a friend do a DCF at USEM. Took about 4+ months. They didn't have any problems at all as they lived it Cotobato, Mindanao where all the bad guys are raising hell.

. [Abu Sayyaf kidnapped 3 Red Cross workers yesterday]. USEM wants ALL Americans out of Mindanao! He had lived there for 12 years.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!

  • 6 months later...

Hi! Im a filipina married to american. He is now staying with me for 10 months and we are 9 mths married. He want to file a petition for me without having him going back to the USA til i get my visa approved when he applied for it. We are gathering some infos and advises bfore we do it. I have emailed the US embassy Manila and this is what they said....

In response to your inquiry, once your husband receives his permanent residency in the Philippines, he may file the Form I-130 petition with USCIS Manila. Since the processing of the petition is faster here in the Philippines (the approved petition doesn't have to go through National Visa Center and the processing time is only 6 to 8 months from the date of filing to the visa issuance), K-3 visa application is not recommended. After approval of the petition by USCIS, the approved petition will be sent to the Immigrant Visa Section for visa processing. However, before an immigrant visa can be issued to you, your husband has to leave the Philippines and return to the U.S. to meet the Immigrant Visa Section's domicile issue requirement. That means, your husband has to leave before you do. Or your husband may return to the U.S. to meet the domicile issue and when the immigrant visa has been issued to you, return to the Philippines, to accompany you to fly to the U.S. It is up to you.

What are the procedures in filing it in the US emabssy and how much does it cost u? How long did it takes before it gets approved and what are the other requirements they asked aside from the basic requirements?

My husband iss till paying his bill via internet online bcoz he is looking forward to going back to the US with me and live there in the house of his mom til we get stable and i get a good job and buy our own house. He gave back his mobile house to the mortgage before here and also the car.

Thank u and hope for a kind respond !enjoy all ur blessings from God!! :)

We also want to do same thing and they called it 1-130 ..DCF is an old term for 1-130, correct me if im wrong pls...

Does my american husband has to return to the USA to prove his domicile or residnecy?? How much does it cost u filing DCf in us embassy manila and after that what is the next step? Do we have to file a 1-129 F after that or only DS-230 and -1-864 for sponsor?

We want to file it without him having going back there til i am with him thats wat he wants. He is staying with me here in the Philippines for 10 months and we are 9 mths married. We file for him a permanent residency in bureau of immigration in manila and will have his passport stamped by next month(under 1 year probationary status) > we did that to save more faster so no need to pay his extension isa every 2 months and taht wil go to our savigs account. Pls help!! :help:

navyswife. I answered all your questions and outlined the process for you in another thread that you posted in. DCF is not a term for I-130. DCF stands for Direct Consular Filing. I-130 is the petition you file for family members, it can be filed in the US or in the country where the US citizen is residing (in your case phillipines).

The cost is $355 US to file the I-130, $400 for the immigrant visa, plus the cost of the medical exam, which usually runs about $300 USD. You are looking at about $1,000 US dollars total. The $355 is paid when you file the I-130. The $400 is paid at the time of the interview.

Thanks for that respond! Sorry im new here still learning to use the options here how to read and go back to the topics i viewed and wrote.lil confused. Dont know where to go and thats why re-posting it again..LOL

So the $400 is being paid after the interview in USE Manila and visa is approved . Which one has to come first, the medical or the interview? Thanks have a nice day! :D
