HI ALL, BILL(US FIANCE) JUST RECIEVED A CALL FROM THE REPORTER FROM ASSOCIATED PRESS. SHE REALLY WANTS TO DO A STORY ON THIS, AND IT WILL BE NATION WIDE. HOWEVER........SHE WANTS THIS TO BE ON THE FRONT PAGE WITH BILL AND MY PICTURES ON THERE.....NOW WE WANT THERE TO BE A STORY, BUT WE ARE FRANTIC ABOUT THE PICTURES. RIGHT NOW THEY HAVE BILLS FULL NAME, BUT HE ONLY GAVE MY FIRST NAME. WE ARE JUST AFRAID WITH HOW THE GOVERNMENT WORKS, THAT IF WE DO THIS, AND SOMEONE (IN PATICULAR SEES THIS), WE WILL BE DOOMED. PLEASE, ANYONE WITH ANY INPUT OR SUGGESTIONS...................BILL SAID THERE WOULD STILL BE THE STORY, BUT THEY WOULD LIKE TO PUT THE PICS IN AS WELL. SHOULD WE TELL HER NO PICS?.......THANKS ALL

I definitely understand why you would be hesitant, but at the same time, you've got a great opportunity to get the word out about this. If they are only going to use your first names I would think you'd be ok. Do you think USCIS has it together enough to put two and two together right now? There are thousands of petitions waiting. I don't know, but I would say go for it.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about USCIS. As for pics and names, only do that if you are comfortable. Perhaps they would be willing to print with only your first names if you were concerned about privacy.

I do understand you hesitation, but I think it's a good idea. I'm so sick of all the press being placed on the illegal side of immigration. I think it's about time the focus was shifted. I, however, would not want my picture on the front of any publication.

what are they even writing about you?? what makes your story stand out? how did they get your name?

I personally would want to know the exact content/slant of the column being written before I would agree to have anything other than my first name referenced.

this is about imbra only, and what it is doing to people, this is not about us, standing out. it would be about everyone in general. this whole piece of #######, is all. everyone is devastated, and people want answeres. so this just might help in some sort of way.

I think that this is a greed opportunity...if they use only your first names then I guess you would have less to worry about ...But I don't think that there is anything to worry about...you are honest people just trying to be together...nothing wrong with that...your story will be a voice to so many who share your circumstances and I see it as a positive thing...as Karakmitchell said I would go for it...
