Lets start a place for all of us who are waiting more then 6 months now.

Just a funny (NOT) bit of information I got today.

When I got the mail I saw an envelope from USCIS!!!!

YESYESYES!!!! My Heart stopped beating, I stopped breathing while I opened it.

And Guess what it was????

I called the 1-800 number 2 weeks ago asking for advice on how to find out whats going on with my case, the girl told me to write to them. So I sent a short letter asking them to please just make sure that my file wasn't lost and if it was I would gladly send them a new one.

So you know what they did????

They wrote me back and told me to call the 1-800 number.

How's that for a run-around!

And they sent me back my original letter AND envelope as if they didn't even want it in their trash!!!

Isn't this great?

I am past 6 months, mine is a K3, but I had to respond to your message anyway..

Priceless. Only USCIS could take so much effort to engage in such a useless and non-helpful action.

I think your experience more or less explains why we're all in the boat we're in.

I can't even BELIEVE how idiotic it is!!!

I think they are trying to drive us INSANE so the foreigner's wont want to come here and marry us!!!!

i have been waiting over a year since sept 24th 2007 i received noa1 now in aug of this year after hearing since april i been extended review i requested expedite of my case they refused why? because they said i just made it into extra review that everyone goes thru this past aug........i was like WHAT lol........so what that tells me is they lost our case and found it when i requested for it to be expedited......now we have to wait it out once again......im completely madd at this point........

Everyone that I talk too I tell them it will take 6 - 8 months to get a K1 or K3 Visa. 6 months is minimum wait time, but I have seen much longer.

David - 6 - 9 months to get the VISA yes, But we are just trying to get the NOA2, which usually takes about 3 - 4 months.

Estadia - what do you mean you have to wait it out again???? They should do it now that they found it right????

well they wont admit they lost it but it makes sense cuz they flat told me two times now there is nothing in our file showing we have ever been in any kind of security before aug of this year..........so next month im going to call again and ask them to expedite it once again.....i even a have a letter they wrote to our senator in may that our case was in security check and nothing could be done for us until they were finished with it but now they say at csc that never happened and no letter was ever sent lol

thank you for ur thoughts but now we are looking at it that we are like the new aug filers cuz basically that is where we are.....they told me today if it should be adjudicated by feb 26th or something like that i was seeing red so i can not be exact on the right date 25th or something i dont know..and if it isnt to call again but im not waiting that long im gonna keep calling and keep demanding lol we have been waiting so long that today when perviz and i talked we decided what is a few more months after all the time we have lost already being together.......it is the only way that we can think right now and still remain normal or sort of normal anyways lol

Hopefully you get an expedite, but if not the new august filers are cool with it if you want to hang out in our thread... I wonder if anyone has ever tried to get a case expedited due to 'clinical depression' caused by USCIS (not recommending this, as you don't want them to decide that you are nuts and therefore the beneficiary could end up without support etc... but I still wonder).

i hear ya. same thing happened to us. we wrote USCIS a letter asking about the delay of my petition and they sent back a letter (with the letter we sent them), saying that we should check their website. duh???

Well I just got a "touch" on Friday - my 1st one since 5/13. Its probably just cause my congressman emailed them but I am still crossing my fingers.

what u have to do is call the number and ask for a service request they will then send u a letter stating where ur case is in the system.........at least that is what they did with us sure it was same old story but at least i got a letter from them lol

Can I join the club too? We are 1 week from hitting our 6 month mark. Did you see on Igor's that there's people from JUNE 20?!?!?! Seriously?!? I'm seriously considering moving to be with my fiance at the end of the year... any thoughts? Am I crazy?
