i guess i count in as october coz my fiance sent the paper works sept 22 and they cashed the check oct 7 with a reply that uscis got the papers oct 3. we have not yet received the NOA1 hardcopy but was last touched i guess oct 8. hopefully everything would go smoothly and fast.

Hey there, I'm the same as you. We sent ours 25th September and it didn't arrive until 6th October. But they haven't cashed the cheque or issued an NOA1 yet. So I suppose I'm a Sep/Oct filer.

It's not the NOA1 that's important lol it will be the wait for the NOA2 that kills you.

I filled last week on 10/7 and they cashed the check on 10/10, so I'm hoping for NOA1 soon. Quick question -- how do they send the NOA1 via email or regular mail?

Well we are still waiting for our cheque to be cashed and our NOA1. VSC received the petition on 6th Oct.

Seems it is quick for some and not for others.

You can check the NOA1 date online. If you have access to your cashed check image (available to me from my bank), you can get your receipt number which should be stamped on the back of the check. The number will probably start with the letters EAC followed by 10 digits. Go to the following link:

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do

and enter this number. It should list the NOA1 date. I don't know if they'll email the NOA1 but you'll definitely receive one in the mail. Hope this helps.
