sweetpiano is right. a job letter would always help. And get a copy of your visa.

And if you're a student a copy of your I-20.

That threat helped me a lot and I wanted to post what I would include to be sure that we don't forget everything. I added the advance parole document to it and we would have a co-sponsor, since my wife just finished her masters and works for 2 1/2 months in her new job.

One question I have right now, do we need to submit copies of all tax documents for the past 3 years from the sponsor & co-sponsor? That is a huge amount of paper!

Any comments are appreciated and a big thank you in advance! :thumbs:

you must send TWO chceks... separate.

one for $355 with I-130

another one for $1010 with the I-485 + rest of the 3kg paperwork where you will include copies of whatever you have..

I used to ski in Ga-Pa a lot... and loved that city...

so as soon as I get my GC that will be the first trip

Is the I-130 being sent in for people who didn't come on K-1 Visa?

Yes, it's the petition for relative part..I think K1s do an I-129f or something?

Applying for Citizenship

17th January 2012 Sent in N-400 application

24th January 2012 Received conformation e-mail from USCIS

25th January 2012 Cheque cashed

13th February 2012 Biometrics appointment

5th March 2012 Received e-mail I am in line for interview scheduling

8th March 2012 Received letter for interview

12th April 2012 Interview date-approved

10th May 2012 Oath ceremony

so as soon as I get my GC that will be the first trip

In Missouri there are a couple of places where you also can get german bratwurst and some good beer. :)
