I just called INS and the guy was really helpful. He checked on my I-130s and said that they have been staged but the machine is not working that is why receipt notices are not being sent out. Once the machine starts working they will start issuing the Receipt notices....and it can be anything from 8-10 weeks ;-( I guess I will have to cancel my trip to India as I need to wait here to get receipt notice and then apply for their I-129F......

It is probable up and running now I sent my intial I130 in April and got a reciept notice and then on 5-26-05 I got a new notice from them .

They also sent me the reciept notice for the I129F : received May 18 with a notice dated May 23. So you should be getting yours soon.

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

THIS TOO SHALL PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"If marriage means you fell in love, does divorce mean you climbed out?"

"You never really know a man until you have divorced him."-Zsa Zsa Gabor

"When a man hath taken a wife, and married her, and it come to pass that she find no favour in his eyes, because he hath found some uncleanness in her: then let him write her a bill of divorcement, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house. And when she is departed out of his house, she may go and be another man's wife." Deuteronomy 24:1-2

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us." - Helen Keller

"Even though you may want to move forward in your life, you may have one foot on the brakes. In order to be free, we must learn how to let go. Release the hurt. Release the fear. Refuse to entertain your old pain. The energy it takes to hang onto the past is holding you back from a new life. What is it you would let go of today?" - Mary Manin Morrissey

"I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." - Mother Theresa

Hiya! I just called last week on the 23rd I believe, and they told me the same thing. That they were having problems with the computers and having technical problems and to expect an eight to ten week wait as well. Hopefully we will get ours soon as well as I am still in the UK with my hubby while we file..everything has to be forwarded to us before we can even send out the next petition.

Please keep my updated if you get yours please. Btw..when did you send out your I-130? Perhaps we will have the same timeline?

well actually both.....

129f is definitely getting delayed as I have no recipt to file it with

I-130 should probbaly get the recipt date of May 11 but I can't imagine that they will catch up later so I guess it is being delayed too...As far as processing is concerned, they have not even cashed the check so there is no processing ...

Ok.......going by desperatewife they are still sending out NOA's or she wouldnt of gotten one. Be very careful of information via the misinformation line when calling NCSC.

Checks can take a while to clear, this is not something new.....it varies from center to center and case to case.

NOA's also vary in being sent out.

Also see Yodraks post re evidence of having filed I-130 which I also agree with.

Don't you only need proof of having filed the I-130? Is there a rule that specifically says it must be the NOA from the I-130?

 Not that I know of. The instructions on the form state to send proof of having filed the I-130..no mention of the NOA1.

In the USCIS site they mention it and I just confirmed from misinformtaion line too....I am confused I am very close to sending it without receipt. The guys also told me that I-129F are going to be very very delayed so stick with I-130. I guess I will take the risk....

True but the actual instruction form with the I-129F doesn't. The worst they can do is send it back and I honestly cant see them doing that *knock on wood*. Its not like your facing prison time etc for taking the chance on this. Let us know what happens.

Its like James Shortcuts for the the CR-1....if someone didnt take the chance then we wouldnt know that it works.

You need to be more clear, please.

In the USCIS site they "mention" what, exactly? Can you post the link to the page/section in question?

Just confirmed "what" from misinformation (doesn't that tell you something to start with?) ?

You can not just send "it" without receipt--you need to be more precise. What "guys" told you about I-129fs?

You do not need to "stick with" the I-130--it stays with you until the end, it is the basis of your spouse being allowed to move to the US.

That recipt of I-130 is necessary for filing 129F. please see above

Just confirmed from USCIS customer service that That recipt of I-130 is necessary for filing 129F.

You can not just send I-129F without receipt. People here on this forum told me the same thing that "recipt of I-130 is necessary for filing 129F."

You do not need to "stick with" the I-130--it stays with you until the end, it is the basis of your spouse being allowed to move to the US. - I just meant that I will think of I-130 as a hope to get my hubby here and not be so hopeful about I-129F
