I went to interview at Detroit yesterday. Our appt. was at 2 p.m. We showed up at 1.30 p.m. and waited for the interview for about a half hr.

Here are some conclusions:

- The interviewer told me to tell my name, birth date, my mom and dad's name and my SSN (she said if I can't remember number,

I could see the paper.)

- She asked us to show any ID to proof the MI residential address. ( My husband has Chicago driver license and I have the CA driver license.)!! So we tried to convince her by any utility bills and told that we always travel but mostly live in MI.) Puh!!!

- She asked for the most recently tax payment. ( My husband has not filed the 2007 tax yet. But we prepared the estimated payment and

the deposit record to pay the tax from the bank. Then no problem.)

- She asked for the evidence to show the financial support to me. ( I prepared copies of credit cards that joint with him. But not copied his.. Then my husband gotta show his card to her to check the number on the card. )

- She asked me all of questions in I 485 part 3 ( I have to answer "No" to all of them.)

- She asked some questions from the evidence ( How did you meet? , You married in March..? , Is this your photo? etc)

That's all for my interview. Before I went to the interview, I was a bit worried about I 693 (cuz I didn't send it) and also my husband's tax payment. Luckily that she didn't ask anything about the medical examination and tax extension is fine too.

After the interview she seized my original Advance Parole and EAD card. She said I don't need it anymore. GC will be sent to me within a month or might be 2 weeks.

When I came back home, I got email form CRIS, " Card Production Ordered". Huh!! Finally, it's done!

Hope this will be useful for friends who will go to interview at Detroit, MI.

Congratulations! And thanks for sharing your experience. Our AOS interview will also be in Detroit, so I was especially interested in your review.

Is it unusual for them to take the AP papers during the interview? We were thinking about going across the border into Canada for a bit right after our interview, but if they take the AP papers, we won't be able to do that.

Thanks everybody!! :)

Congratulations! Sounds pretty relaxed.

Yep! No stressed at all. My friend who interviewed there last month told me the same thing.

Congratulations! And thanks for sharing your experience. Our AOS interview will also be in Detroit, so I was especially interested in your review.

She asked me first if I work and I said " No ". This might be the reason why she took it. For AP, before she took it, she asked if we would travel outside USA. We won't. I think if you have the the ticket reservation to show, she should stamp on your passport instead.

Congratulations!!! I have my interview on the 18th September (in Detroit As well) and I'm so nervous!!!

Thnx. Good luck to your interview too. Be well prepared esp the financial support.

Ahhh..Really?? Sorry that we missed each other.. But for you, spending for an hour in that small office was not so good. Though I spent only about 20 mins , I felt uncomfortable with that small space...Luckily my interviewer is friendly and very helpful.

congratulations ! and it's n ice to share your interview experience.

Thanks :)
