Happyinlove, can you please let me know what was the avr message for "IVR "RFE" (False RFE), NVC waiting for IV bill& DS-230 " ?

Is it usual ? what exactly the "false rfe" ?

I wrote in another thread that I got rfe now.. worried and freaking out.

The false message was right after they accepted the COA email and they were waiting for IV bill to be paid and the DS-230 form to be sent. Once they received it they entered it into their system after two days and it was completed about 6 days but the AVR was saying prior to completion, Please allow 6-8 weeks for a decision. When it was completed it now says "Your case was completed on August 14, 2008. Please allow 6-8 weeks for a decision." The AVR will keep stating the same info but your case should be completed ASAP if there are no RFEs. Give it atleast a week. Anyway the AVR is not updated on time sometimes. I recommend you call the rep at NVC to inquire about your case and if they are needing any more info. Good luck.
