Police Records

Available, upon request by the United States Embassy in Colombo. Sri Lanka nationals over the age of 16 must provide the Embassy with their national identity card (NIC) number, date and place of birth, and last residential address in Sri Lanka. Non-Sri Lanka nationals must provide the Embassy with passport identification and Sri Lanka residence visa information. The Embassy will provide a letter summarizing the finding of the police record check. There is no fee for this service.
