Hi Gigant,

:star: Congratulations on getting your 10yr Green Card!!!! :star:

Don't worry anymore about being treated badly anymore, as those days are over for you now. Just sit back, and relax for the next 10 years (or 3 if you decide to pursue citizenship)...

Why 4 years? Without a timeline or even the kind of visa, I can't really tell from your post.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Congratulations, and yes, I fully appreciate your statement about 4 years. My husband and I have been married for over 4 years now and it looks like it will be going on 5 years before our I-751 is approved. It would have been nice anywhere in this process to have been on the shorter end of the time frame rather than the longer end but that doesn't look like it is happening. We started our visa journey in June 2003 - and by the best estimates still have between 2 to 2 1/2 years to go before it's finished.

And we haven't had an RFE or an interview along the way - hate to think how additionally frustrating that would be.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Three years and eight and a half months for us of marriage until that ten year card came in, but wife already had the interview for her US citizenship a month ago, now waiting for the oath ceremony. If I throw in the time to bring my bride here, it's well over five years. A couple one month ahead of us is having their oath ceremony today and their journey is finally over. Aren't you going to apply for citizenship? Still have to carry that green card with you when you go to the bathroom and really restricted in other ways as well. Hopefully in the next month or two, our journey will also be over.

The only stress in our marriage has been the USCIS.
