Nothing!! i dont get it.....they promised to improve the processing times.

They promised that a year ago, and they really did it for CSC, TSC and NSC. :crying: But VSC it not on the improved list, VSC processing times became even worse than it was 1 year ago.

can someone write a classy letter so we can all Print, sign and mail/email it to our states senators of which the VCS is responsible for?

Members who filed their I-751 petitions at VSC, are aware of processing delays (esp. concurrent filers). below you can find a draft letter to should be sent by each and one of us to their Senators's BY EMAIL/MAIL/FAX to address this issue.

I urge all members who are waiting for their VCS I-751 approvals to review the draft letter and please make constructive comments on this thread to incorporate any necessary changes so that we can send a letter that will address all our issues regarding the processing delays at VCS. Please do not send the letter to until the letter has been finalized by all of us with a time frame of 10 days starting from today.

Also please vote on the poll so that we can get an idea of number of members who are affected by this issue. I request all members affected by the processing delays at TSC to come forward and stand up for themselves and join this campaign.

Re: I-751 processing delays at VSC

I submitted I-751 Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence (green card) to VSC. I have been waiting for little more than a XXXXXX now and still there have been no updates on my case. We have been consistently observing (on multiple tracker websites online and from friends who recently received their approvals) that VSC has worst processing & approving times which is over 10 month per case. This delay in processing and ignoring our cases is causing us undue hardship. Some of members who are in similar situation who contacted VSC have received responses that our cases will not be picked for processing until our priority dates are current.

Also some of the members, who contacted VSC, have received responses like "We are waiting for FBI name check to clear before we can process I-751 petition". It is clearly known that there is no need for FBI name check for processing I-751 petitions. Also, now that there is a new memo stating that if FBI name check has been pending over 180 days.it makes us feel as if we are criminals, terrorist and this is coming from applicants that provided every single possible info about them self, had interviews, two fingerprints biometrics in 3 years...etc, it is only fair that applications will be processed in a reasonable time of up to 90 days. we are paying a large number in processing fee's so we can get good service.

We love every concept the Statue of Liberty stands for, that this country is so big-hearted and prosperous it can welcome people from all over the world fleeing oppression or poverty. We love the Bill of Rights, we love the concepts of free speech, absolute privacy and religious freedom These are just some of the things that have made America unique in the history of the world. They are a direct cause of America's prosperity, of our security, of what makes America attractive

I seek your assistance in investigating in this matter with VSC and impress upon the center to complete processing I-751 petitions for the concurrently filed cases during 2007/8. I also urge you to request USCIS to re-instate the premium processing service for all categories of I-751 petitions with no pre-conditions to qualify.

I would appreciate your response and assistance in this matter.

Sincerely,

It is clearly known that there is no need for FBI name check for processing I-751 petitions.

Where did you hear that?

I do hope that they speed things up for those of you at VSC. However, this being an election year, they are probably going to prioritise naturalization applications (in fact they recently announced that they are creating extra interview slots on weekends.

Hardship? No, it's not.

It's just irritating that we paid for a service that is not being rendered. If they don't adjudicate the I-751 before it's time to file the N-400, I'd like my money back.

It is clearly known that there is no need for FBI name check for processing I-751 petitions.

Link?

Also, now that there is a new memo stating that if FBI name check has been pending over 180 days.it makes us feel as if we are criminals, terrorist

I don't think my wife would agree. USCIS delays don't impact how she feels about herself.

I hate to contradict you, but how are you truly affected? You filed in February and were given a one year extension (presumably). You have all the rights that a ten year greencard holder possesses save the right to leave one's marriage AND stay in America, unless you really need the wallet space and are tired of carrying an NOA1. This is not like the I-130, where couples are torn apart. You are with your loved-one and live in the country of your choice.

I would complain if my status were about to expire. Actually, I wouldn't. I'd simply apply for citizenship.

If you are still outraged at the 6 months you've been waiting, I wish you the best of luck with your crusade.

My letter would just say

"Yo VSC hurry the fukc up or give me my money back, bitchez!"

I hear you.

but this letter will go to the senators. lets all keep in mind it's election year and from what I heard is the we are not a priority. the working visa permit are the priority. if that's true it means we will not see any progress till the end of the elections 3-5 month from now. we must do something!!! I call everyone to work on the above draft letter so we can all send it ASAP.

You haven't answered my question.

What, precisely, is the nature of the "undue hardship"?

I am outraged with the fact that CSC is approving app within 3 months and we have to wait for 12 month to get our approval from VSC. also 1 year extension does not have the same value of 10 yr green card and with the way things goes at USCIS we cant wait anymore knowing that legislations can change everyday. usually for worse!!! I also want to have the option of bringing a family member.

I have to agree with A.J. There is no hardship, and there are far worst things that make me feel like a crminal than this!

They can take all the time they want. No sweat off my brow!

What, precisely, is the nature of the "undue hardship"?

we all take it in our own way. what word would you put there?

thanks
