SLEC's delaying my journey

Sheesh i don't know where to start, I'm just sooooooooo pi$$ed right now....

I had my medical last July 3, first day and had to come back on July 7 for my physical exam coz i was having my period on my first day. Then the examiner saw my scar near my wrist and thought i tried to kill myself so she put me on a psyche test that they scheduled four days later (earliest available date). I guess they only have ONE psychiatrist!!! I got so pi$$ed that i needed to pay another 1K for an evaluation i don't need since i got that scar when i slipped my hand on a sharp rock, and another on my toe while swimming in Batangas TEN years ago. So i took the test still with no contest just so i'd be cleared of whatever issue they have regarding my mental ability. After the test (20 mins for 1K imagine that!) I was told that I still need to wait 2 to 3 working days for the result and i don't need to worry (haller my interview was set to take place on JULY 18!!!) . The doctor said that without even telling me that she will have a CONVENTION to attend to THIS WEEK!!! So long and short of it, I was just told to call on MONDAY for my result since the freaking CONVENTION will end on July 18 and that they will be the one to reschedule my interview...now how was that for me?????? My fiance was so pissed that his laptop fell while we're chatting! He asked me to get all infos...doctor's cellphone...email...contact number and am definitely gonna go there today!!! Haay we had been waiting for so long for our case to get approved then SLEC found a GOOD REASON TO DELAY US....and that's all for the sake of a CONVENTION they wouldn't mention before!!!! Really need your advise guys.......

That really sounds soo bad! advise?? hmmmm...just look at this way...GOD has reason for everything. Maybe HE is teaching both of you to learn more about patience. According to the book "The Purpose Driven Life" that everyday is test...it could be a test of character, a test of love and many others. I suggest that you stay strong, keep on praying that you will have a smooth visa journey and that you will be with your love the soonest.

Just hang in there! Everything will be FINE! Remember that HE wont give you problem that you cannot handle.

all i can say is look on the bright side, at least you are not delayed by 2 months by a sputum test like i am. i would take your 2 weeks over my 2 months anytime. even after i showed all my records and my treatment and that i was clear, even their doctor said my xrays looked exactly the same from last yr, i still have to wait out the 8 weeks. dont worry sis, it will all be over soon and u will get to be with ur honey!

and i agree with the 1st response, dont piss them off LOL!!! they have your life in their hands so to speak ;-)

Thanks sis and i'm sorry to hear about your case and that delay, well i just can't believe that a certain CONVENTION will cause this delay and that they had to resched my interview...I just resigned from my work of six years and my dad is sick...i guess i'm just so stressed that i can't take their reason as an excuse. And maybe God has a plan for me to wait until monday after next for my interview. I went there just to clear how will they resched my interview that's initially set tomorrow. Haaay maybe God's giving me more time to spend it with my family before i leave....Thanks again and God bless!!!

you cant blame them thats why US choose them to be the one who will made all the medical for those

people who wanted to go out in our country because they are good..

If your Fiances gets all pissed off and starts raising hell and trying to make a bigger issue out of this, then you/he just might piss off the wrong person and then really get delayed for a long time.

Make him realize this is the Philippines and things usually move a lot slower over there, than compared to USA, aka PI Time.......

Life's like that...it may seem or look unfair. God is teaching us to be patient. You've waited for much more months for the case to be approved, that's nothing compared to mere days.

Cheer up! Everything will go on as God has planned it. I hope your dad will get well soon. Use this time to be with your dad. Maybe God is postponing your interview so that you can spend more time with your dad. Because after the interview, everything will go on fast!

Can't you attend the interview without results from SLEC?

I thought you can attend the interview anyway..then later on complete the SLEC stuff???

I don't know girl but just a suggestion, maybe you can call them to know.

Anyway, goodluck I hope that if ever they re schedule you for the next interview date it won't be that long..

I agree with you john & jean...the more you treat them not nice, the worst they will be treating u bad...

theyre all ryt. patience and just kip moving forward, trust God. i had my 1st medical exam 2day ( i just got home) the physical exam doctor palpated the lump on my left side of neck and i told her i undergone biopsy for it a month ago but didnt bering the result, the result was ok but she requested for the medical certificate from the doctor who did the biopsy.

i suppose to go back to st. lukes 2mrw, but i wont yet cus i still need to request for the medical certificate from the doctor. they told me i can go back any day as long as i have the request of the doctor.

btw, anybody here encountered the same thing? didnt go to st lukes the following day for some reason and instead went back there few days after ur first medical exam?

Hi again shes...I went to SLEC Friday the first time for all those X-ray and blood test, physical exams by the doctor etc., but then I was asked to get a medical certificate because I have an auto immune disease which they really can't trace anyway because it needs a different kind of blood test. Also, the Physician there at SLEC doesn't even know how to spell the disease I have. LOL. na okray tuloy sya nung isang doctor dun sa immunization area...

So that was Friday, nagkuha ako ng certification sa Asian Eye Institute where I got diagnosed Sunday morning, no SLEC on Sundays so I just returned Tueday, di na ako nakabalik ng Monday coz naguwi ako sa province and so I showed the Medical Report/Certification and everything was fine, it was done that very Tuesday although madaming tanong about my medical condition. I also refused to get further and future vaccine.

Hi shes just to give you the short story of my SLEC experience.

Timeline ko sa SLEC:

May 30, 2008, FRIDAY- First day, X-ray, Physical exam by the doctor, blood test

June 1, 2008, SUNDAY- I went to Asian Eye Institute where I am having my medications about my disease to get Medical Certification, got it the same day.

**I did not return June 2 to SLEC because I went back to province.*****

June 3, 2008, TUESDAY 10:30 am- I returned sa SLEC dala ko yung medical cert from AEI, interview at the Immunization area on my request not to get vaccine even after I deliver my child, I requested not to get any future vaccine!

June 3, 2008, TUESDAY 3:00 pm- Got the X-ray film and vaccine sheet (I passed the medical exam).
