Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing ?

Canine Specialized Search Team?

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Didn't you JUST as this question in another thread but said YOU were the one that was moving to the US not your "friend". Man funny stuff is going on around here.

I know nothing about how workers comp works, but I would assume that you can't receive workers comp from one country while living in another. Maybe I am wrong though. I'm not sure if any one will know this question here.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Acronym Definition

CSST Canine Specialized Search Team (Santa Clara County, California): Yes. The dogs may not trust a Canadian at first, but they will adapt.

CSST Client-Server Software Testing: Yes, especially since you are from another Country.

CSST Combat Service Support Team (US Navy): Maybe. We don't trust Canadians around our boats. If you pass the indoctrination at Guantanamo Bay, which includes 100 straight hours of "I'm Proud To Be An American" blasted into your cranium, then you're in.

CSST Commission de la Santé et de la Sécurité du Travail du Québec (French: Occupational Health and Safety Commission, Quebec, Canada):No, we only speak Amaarican here.

CSST Construction Site Safety Technician: Maybe. If you can explain why the Canadian Government subjected me to this video I'll put in a good word for you.

CSST Coordination Committee for Science and Technology (Australia): No. Like I stated previously, we only speak Amaarican here.

CSST Corrugated Stainless Steel Tubing: #######?

CSST Council for Study of the Shroud of Turin: Yes. Anything relating to Jesus looks good on your resume'.

You're best to have your friend call who ever is administering their benefits to let them know that they are leaving the province.

I can only tell you how that works in Alberta, and I am not sure that Quebec operates the same way.

In Alberta you can receive wage replacement benefits if you leave the province or move to another country. However typically, the person administering the claim will ask that just before the person moves they attend a medical exam to see what level they are functioning at. If they are still totally disabled, they will then receive their 100% of wage replacement benefits.

If a person is capable of working at a modified level, and they are still with their employer who has modified work available, then they would not be entitled to wage replacement benefits as they have removed themself from the ability to do modified work.

If a person is capable of working at a modified level and no longer job attached, then other options would be examined to determine whether their benefits would be adjusted (usually downwards).

In Alberta, the Board can demand someone attend a medical appointment in that province, and failure to attend can result in suspension of these benefits. The Board typically will pay the airfare or bus fare to attend these appointments.

I guess, at least in Alberta whether benefits are still paid generally depends upon the level of disability and whether the person is actually leaving their employment to move to the United States.

My suggestion would be for your friend to call and ask how their WCB handles claims where the person is leaving the province.
