Hello everyone,

I called the Islamabad embassy asking them questions about the Affidavit of Support for the K3 visa and which one to fill out for a joint sponsor. The conselor told me to fill out a I-134, and since I am also having a joint sponsor which is my Mother, that my Mother would have to fill out a separate I-134. Did anyone do something similar as far as filling out two I-134's for sponsor and joint sponsor.

Thanks,

Elijah

What do you expect?

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Hi LuckyStrike,

I didn't know whether to file between the I-864, I-864A, and the I-134. I think you misunderstood my post, I was asking people who where going through the Islamabad Embassy, not the Bangkok Embassy. Thanks for your uninformative reply.

You already called the Embassy and got the correct answer. Yes, this is how it is done. The petitioner and the co-sponsor each fill out an I-134 and provide supporting documents. You'll find the same information in the Guides here.

Second post today where it's appropriate to say, "This ain't our first rodeo."

After arrival on the K3 visa, the I-864 will be used during the AOS (Adjustment of Status) process. Depending on circumstances, you'll file two I-864 forms or on plus an I-864a.

I'm sure somebody from Pakistan will be along soon enough to confirm what you've already been told by the Embassy staff.
