Just thought i'd start this thread up as my fiance will be sending the K1 petition in the first week of May. Good luck to all who does also. Will keep you posted and updated.

I remember feeling very nervous when we filed. Shortly afterwards I kept thinking about how I could've put the package together better and I still don't like looking at the copy we made! But so long as you follow the guides you'll be okay and once it's at the service centre there is little point in worrying about it and your fears will hopefully subside.

I'm trying to figure out realistically from when we file, which will be around the 7-9th May how long it will take for the visa is in my hand (If all goes well) Anything before the end of the October i will be delighted with. Is just over 6 months too realistic or is that a reasonable time frame?

Sounds reasonable for Vermont. :) The majority of January Vermont filers have had their interviews scheduled for May/early June, so I'd say 6 months is realistic. Just remember not to rely on that timeframe!
