One time, I was able to try big scallops marinated in soy sauce and ginger and some lemon-grass (at least tasted like it). They were seared in sesame oil it seemed, topped with drizzles of sweet soy sauce and tangy beurre blanc.

I like it scampi style, fried, grilled, in other words I love scallops! You can do a lot with scallops.

That sounds yummy!!!

I love scallops too (well I love almost every kind of seafood actually). I'll probably join your VJ iron chef this week :) (I need to go to buy some and find out how I'll cook them though)

I used to eat them, but no more. Like lobster, they are the cockroaches of the sea, filtering in all those bad toxins.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Not a big fan. But probably because me and the scallops started off on the wrong foot.

My friend's Mom in Perth took me out for lunch and we went to this lovely lovey seafood restaurant. It was winter and I was really cold and orderd the soup of the day. It was scallop soup. There was so much scallop in there, I nearly passed out because of a protein shock. Bic chewy chunks of scallop. Ugh. Plus the soup had coriander (cilantro) in ther and I hate hate hate corinader.

So for what it is now - nay!

Love 'em , but never make them for myself. Hubster doesn't like any seafood, so I just don't think about them for myself. I'd have them out in a restaurant though...especially if they are in some nice seafood chowder....mmmm

I love them just about any way you can cook them. I prefer them sautéed but will eat them fried if that's the only way I can get them.

The Oyster Factory in HHI has awesome fried scallops. They are just barely breaded in this really light breading then fried. Oh man! I could eat a ton of them.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!
