Garfield Without Garfield

Came across this in Time magazine - pretty funny. The guy has taken some of the original Garfield comic strips and altered them so that Garfield isn't there. All you see is a lonely and apparently demented Jon Arbuckle wandering an empty landscape of countertops and refrigerators, lasagna and coffee.

Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life? Friends, meet Jon Arbuckle. Let’s laugh and learn with him on a journey deep into the tortured mind of an isolated young everyman as he fights a losing battle against loneliness in a quiet American suburb.

Is being schizo always bad? I mean...are there not schizo voices that are just really enthusiastic and happy and supportive all the time?

I'd rather be schizo than have a cat anyway.

Very interesting and funny. It kind of makes sense that the conversations Jon has with Garfield are really conversations with himself since cats don't really talk.
