It has probably been asked many times but I have been having a long day and can not be bothered to look for the answer....sorry....

On a K1 how long does it take to have the right to legally work after wedding if you do not get EAD at Port of Entry ?

thanks in advance

Depends how long it takes you to apply for EAD and how long the processing is....I would say anywhere from 3-5 months. Just a guesstimate.

If you get a work stamp on your I-94 you can in theory start working right away, but you might have a problem getting hired/paid until you have an SSN. In any event you should to stop working after the 90 day period the work stamp is valid unless you have received the 1 year EAD card.

If you'll arrive on JFK airport you can get a EAD stamp wich allow you work inmediately in USA, or wait until you fet married and you'll file for AOS and EAD together.
