For all those yardies who have gone through the process, will you please give me a link to the interview checklist?

We received our interview date last week and only have 2 weeks to get everything done! I am really nervous. He has his medical tomorrow in Kingston, so that will be out of the way. But what else and how do we get those documents (like police report, etc). He does not know where to go.

THANKS TO ALL!!!

Hi Pricessa,

The first thing your SO needs is a non-impediment to marriage form, he should go to his local RGD office. He will also need his Police Certificate. He has to go to TWO places for that....1 place to pay...another place to pick up!

He should definately do the non-impediment to marriage for NOW!!!! Also you will need to pay extra for express. It took Ken about 3 weeks to a month to get his regular service!

Are you going down for the interview?

If not make sure he has TWO copies of the DS-156, DS 156K & DS- 157, your notarized Affidavit of support, 4 passport photos, your 2007, 2006, & 2005 tax returns. Employment letter(s) from YOUR employer, Bank statements from YOUR bank, additional proof of relationship (letters, photos, phone bills, etc.), all USCIS correspondence letters to you, copies of EVERY page of your passport...his passport (with more than 6 months until expiration date).

I think that's it off the top of my head...I will be back to post more...if I remember anything!

Good luck,

Gill

What she said!

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

I think you need to get him on all of that TODAY!

And, if you aren't going to the interview, ship everything to him ASAP. Delivery has a funny way of not being on time when you want it to be. I know that from experience. You'll save yourself a whole lot of headaches if you move early on this.

RGD local office? My fiance has no idea what this is.

He says he got his last police record in Salem's Bay. Is that ok?

Thanks everyone.
