as i promised i will keep you update with our case , everybody should i guess lol , i had a second interview after 221(g) Returning Petitions to USCIS , well they didn't send it so that's why they called me for an other interview , was very simple than the 1st one 3 questions about my love visit and when , i had a lot of evidence , but the problem was in skype and msn records , i only copied and paste the convos and then printed them , no date on them was the problem , she said i have evidence but not enough so she gave me an other 221g asking me to submit more evidence , and i can come any time i want , so i said i will be here tomorrow i will reprint these with dates , she said ok , so i stayed overnight in hotel in Casablanca and i spent hours on the computer getting these proofs , i called my fiancee and let her know what happened , we were very positive because it's matter of proofs , i asked her to write me a letter and fax it with in local shop there with date and address of the shop , she did which i think it's a good evidence that we are still talking , i printed more 20 recent e_mails the last one was dated as 28Feb and i had more 15 postcard also , is the day that i will submit the evidence on it , at 1.30pm i was front of the consulate , i submitted all the evidence i can get , and i show them the 221g requesting more proofs of relationship they put them away and they asked me for my phone number then they said we will call you , they didn't hold my passport , so this is all what i have and im waiting for the call , what do you think guys , and has any of you experienced this?

Wow they didn't send your case back after all ??? Al7amdulillah that saved you a LOT of time and headaches. What day was your 2nd interview ?

It's not unusual for the consulate to *not* hold the passport -- they probably have additionally processing to do on your case like name/security checks. Insha'allah it will complete very quickly -- the time can range from a few days to a few weeks to months or even more because every case is different.

But don't worry -- sounds like you gave them what they wanted. Hope to hear your good news that the visa is in hand very soon !

Just my opinion... the fact that you were even called back for a second interview after they said they were returning your petition is a big victory at Casa. It sounds like they believe you now, they just wanted you to show them better proof, which you did. And as WoM said, Casa doesn't usually keep the passport; they ask for it when security checks are finished and they are ready to issue the visa. Hang in there. It sounds positive.

Well it's true that they may take a while to review the additional evidence you brought in.

Also, sometimes they don't start all the security checks until they're convinced of the case -- after the interview and after the missing evidence/documents are provided.

And keep in mind that security checks have a shelf life -- even if they did yours 6 months ago, they probably expired, so they may have to order new ones to be done all over again.

Best of luck for a speedy conclusion -- hopefully you'll be getting that call to bring in your passport very soon !

That is great they didn't send your case back. my husband had his second interview on the 12th of FEb, 08. They asked him for a copy of my passport, showing I was in Egypt, pictures of us and greeting cards. My husband didn't have proof of emails or phone bills. They told him it was fine. They asked him soo many questions about my family and everyones names. Thank god he knew everyone. lol

The embassy called me on the 26th of Feb, gave me a short interview then told me he is recommending that our case be moved forward and someone will contact my husband to send in his passport. My husband got the call yesterday to send in his passport!!!

Insha-allah....he will get his visa soon and I pray you will too. Good luck!!

It may be a little different for me bc we had evidence we met in person and lived in the same city for awhile (not internet).... but...

We never had any emails or chat records as evidence. I sent him a card and a letter, but he didn't save the envelope or anything. We talked mostly on the phone, and I always used the same phone card with a saved pin and you could just recharge it at walgreens. So I sent him one of the cards, photocopied one and highlighted the number, then attatched my phone bills from the previous 3 months with that number highlighted every time I called him. I had always used that card so I sent a few from early in the visa process as well. It showed that we talked every day and how long we talked everyday. It was also a cell phone so I highlighted the text messages and when he called me.

To me that is just as much info as the chat logs and seems to be a little more concise since it's just a few pages to show a full month of daily phone calls and how long you talked. There should also be a way to print your call history from the chat on yahoo. You could print it every week or something.
