Funny, an American can, say, take a trip to Vegas, meet someone at a card table and get married an hour later. No questions asked, no proof of marriage validity needed, no interference.

Thanks for posting the NPR link, WideAwake. I just had a listen to it.

No problem. I just happened to tune into NPR on Sirus and caught half of it. Was already aware of her through the Washington Post story and several postings on this site. Yes the comments left by some subscribers to the Post are rude, but hey what do you expect in this day and age?

Good interview - good their case is getting exposure. Hope this gets things going for them.

Its not propaganda. They do have a bit more integrity than the corporate networks - though, like them, they are subject to the same sort of oversight as the rest of the media.

I thought it was reasonably balanced, though I always find myself wishing they'd note that not every international couple fits the first-world/high fraud impoverished nation paradigm. And that there wasn't as much focus on 'this is unfair because others had their citizenship applications and EADs approved', because all immigrants end up in the same boat.
