NBC transfers any case they feel is simple to CSC for further adjudication and possible approval without interview, if CSC feels an interview is required they will send cas back to NBC and NBC will send it to your local field office for the interview.

VSC has nothing to do with AOS cases.

This has been happening for at least 2 years now.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

pheww, thanks....i hope i dont need an interview....
Our case transfered to CSC and got approved without interview.

Only thing that stinks about the transfer is not knowing case status once it is there. Can sit at CSC a few months to a few YEARS held up for an FBI name check, all the time not showing any status change.

YuAndDan, according to my understanding, AP and EAD are not transferred in the same time with AOS, is that correct? Who will decide on these two after AOS is being transferred to CSC?

And second question: one does receive an e-mail about AOS approval, even though transferred to CSC? (I understand that they will not show online the status change, but I was wondering if one has to wait for the snail mail to find out about the approval :) ).

Thank you very much,

Bianca

AP and EAD will still be handled by the National Benefits Center (as they are 'benefits' of an AOS filing).

Yes, you will receive an approval email from CSC when the time comes.

Tks alot, TracyTN, for your fast reply :)

PS BTW, I'm glad to see everything is going smooth for you, I remember some hard time with your K1 visa and I was glad to see everything now is well.

Thanks Sapphire! We really didn't have a hard time with the K1 - just a longer wait at the service center than everyone who filed around the same time as us. In retrospect, its just a blip on the radar. :)
